I realize I’m about 10 years too late on this rant, but still. Renee Zellweger as Bridget Jones is NOT overweight. Bridget Jones is NOT fat. She’s just not emaciated. She doesn’t look that great throughout the film because for most of the movie she is put in terribly unflattering clothes. Also, if Renee Zellweger gained 20 lbs to portray Bridget Jones, then that is scary. I’m not trying to body snark Renee Zellweger, but seriously.
