I just really love new Taylor Swift, guys. I really, really do.
And while, YES, females bringing down other females for no reason than to fulfill some bullshit patriarchy crap is wrong, there’s something about Taylor vs. Adele that feels less like mean girls and more like some honest to goodness professional rivalry. This isn’t a beauty crown in a high school auditorium. This is the first major award since 2009 or something that Taylor Swift and Adele have actually been competing head-to-head for. They’ve never been properly ranked against each other. Why shouldn’t she be disappointed?!?!?
This has the potential of turning into some epic Mozart/Salieri shit, but between two preternaturally gifted female pop song composers.
And I have more to say about “new” Taylor Swift as she no longer seems interested in hiding her sexuality nor in hiding that she’s not a perfect cherubic angel, and I LOVE THAT, but I fear all these thoughts on “new” Taylor Swift are still in devo for me and I’d like to explore them further before writing a massive TL;DR essay.
