I live in New York. I am a comedian, writer and actor. My day job is blogging for VH1.com. I write about the silly things celebrities and pop stars do, so you know...God's work.
You may have seen my writing on many other reputable websites (The Huffington Post, Hello Giggles, xojane.com, The Hairpin, Splitsider, The FW, etc.). I also write crazy blogs about Game of Thrones, Magneto and Jeff Goldblum.
I don't want to talk about anything with you except Star Trek Into Darkness.

So, in an effort to save the almighty dollar, I have never purchased Microsoft Word for any of my personal computers. I was going to for my new MacBook Air back in January, but one of those dum-dums at the Apple dum-dum bar told me about this super cool App called “Pages” wherein I could save documents as Word documents! And it only cost like $40!
“Revolutionary!” I thought.
For the most part, it’s okay, except when I’m working on massive manuscripts on my work computer and then want to add those edits to my home computer versions of the files.
Pages never automatically opens a Word Document as a Word Document. It’s a new Pages document, and then, you have to remember to save it as a Word Document. This has caused so many problems for me as a writer. Not to mention, that all text styles don’t carry over, so I’ve had issues with spacing, not to mention all of my Italicized titles and words are scrubbed clean and basic.
Last night I put all of my thought and patience into marrying my home and work manuscripts into one Word Document and today it appears those changes are still lost. And I am furious. And this is like the fifth time it’s happened this year.
I know this is just a long, rambling, unfunny rage post about my inability to make good choices in life when it comes to computer software, but I needed to vent.
I hate Pages.
